Hallo Freunde,Ein paar Punkte über dem 1000er darf ich wieder was pietätloses posten?
Zitat Jorgen aus der Ami-NG:
I`ve been waiting a long for Inventor Professionals piping module to be
relased, and had high hopes for the product, but after I was given a
presentation for the product where I got to try out a few real life
situations, I got a bit dissapointed:
* You can only route in 90 and 45 deg... (!)
How often does that happen ??? I don`t have a single pipe run that only has
90 or 45 deg. You are able to take a bend to the shop or out in the field
cut it to adapt the angle. but not in the program. Not good!
(A workaround is to create a custom ipart where you can do this and import
it in to the library, but then you loose the automated routing feature.)
* Reducers and Tees can not be cut.
Same problem here, cut a tee and your connection point remains. What if I
want to take a standard reducer, cut it to adapt a different pipe spec ?
* Specs and styles.
I was afraid of this happening, people who design pipingmodules (not just
Autodesk...) sets the rules for you, you can not route a ISO pipe to a Ansi
pipe etc. Shure you can! In real life! you just weld the pieces together!
* Pipe branches.
So I want to take a pipe, drill a hole in it, take another pipe with a
completely different spec and size and weld them together.....no
problem...except in virtual life.
This is like the welding feature, looks pretty but of no use. I see a BIG
advantage of professional, and probably would gladly pay twice the money to
get it if it only had worked better.
....
....
I really need a piping application for Inventor, professional should have
been this, but now I`m not sure.
I know this is the first release and things will probably get better during
the next releases, but this is not good enough (for me) yet.
....
Bin schon gespannt, wie's sich für uns zeigen wird...
