Hallo ArabSoul,
Question: Why is SolidWorks crashing when inserting or creating a design table on an HP workstation? Keyword: Design Table
Answer: Open the System Information and look under Software Environment > Windows Error Reporting. For an entry of "Application Error", find the faulting application name for SolidWorks and verify if the faulting module name is both EXCEL.EXE and RPCRT4.dll. If so, the HP's Biometric Authentication Service is causing hangs/crashes dealing with any type of Excel® table.
Close SolidWorks and ask the user to navigate to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services. In Services, disable the Biometric Authentication Services (right mouse button > Stop). Check in Windows® Task Manager if "dpagent.exe" and "DpHostw.exe" are still running and kill the processes. Open SolidWorks and verify if the issue still occurs.
If the problem described above is resolved by stopping the processes, please have the users disable this from the start up tab in System Configurator (Start > MSCONFIG). In the Services tab, uncheck the Biometric Authentication Services.
The user can no longer user Biometric Authentication Services once disabled.
This issue is being investigated by SPR#561802.
