Hallo
Im trying to understand the DIN 16901 for plastics mouldings. Anyone has an idea regarding the questions below:
1. In table 1, there are various plastic materials specified. However, in my cases, I happen to work with materials which are not on the table, for example LCP, or PA9T. And sometimes, the filler of glass fiber changes also from time to time.
2. How to understand Point 4.2 "Deviations specified against dimensions" ? Could anyone give an example with drawings? I havenŽt seen this before

Hallo Philosopher, welcome on CAD.de.

The Standard DIN 16 901 is withdrawn. The new Standrd is DIN 16 742.
As discussed here:

But there is no rule that you have to use this special plastic Standard. You may also use the general Tolerance standard DIN ISO 2768.

Point 1. In this case i would use the pattern fpr a plastic material with similar shrinkage, PC ( polycarbonate ) for example.

Point 2. There is row 1 an row 2. Row 2 is more exactly. It is up to you wich row you chose.
