Hallo zusammen,

----------------------------------------------------------------------
NVidia:
drivers for Quadro2 pro, Quadro4 series
NVIDIA Display Driver for Windows 2000/XP version 41.09, 11/18/2002
important: Advanced Open-GL settings to SolidWorks

ELSA Gloria:
Since ELSA went bankrupt we only tested the reference drivers from NVIDIA, since the Gloria III is based on the NVIDIA Quadro chipset. It appears that ELSA has recently resurrected their driver download section and have what looks like ELSA labeled drivers. However, we have not tested these yet, and do not know whether they are really any different than the NVIDIA reference ones.
Since we have not tested these ELSA drivers, we would recommend that
customers get either the 28.32 or 30.82 drivers from NVIDIA for the Quadro2 Pro.
Development took a quick look at the Elsa 28.32 driver and it has a problem which can cause assemblies components to disappear when rotated with 2001Plus. This problem is not present in SolidWorks 2003, but we do not know if there are any other problems yet to be discovered. Based on our initial findings we would not recommend that particular driver. Instead we recommend getting the driver from http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

ATI Fire GL 8800:
The 5.12.2195.3051 driver will work, but has multiple window performance problems - specifically, once a certain number of OpenGL windows is reached the performance slows down significantly for any subsequent windows which are opened. On the 8800 it's not too bad, and will work OK until around ~15 windows are open in SolidWorks. There will be a new driver from ATI soon which has a fix for this problem. I would recommend using the 3036 driver, or waiting for the new driver which will get posted as soon as it is tested
