Hello, I'm trying to simulate a pneumatic cilinder in Dynamic Simulation, it has to go in and out (repeatingly) to make the press work (see picture). The system works now, but with an invisible crank+rod. (the cilinder has a realworld force of 740N, but it isn't neccery to simulate the force, it has to complete the 100mm strokes.) Thanks in advance and regards from the Netherlands, Symen Kalsbeek Eine Antwort auf diesen Beitrag verfassen (mit Zitat/Zitat des Beitrags) IP |

Wellcome, do you know it is a german speaking forum. Witch version of IV you are using? What kind of graficcard you are using and witch driverversion? I was looking in the forum-search but with sumilation an unvisible, i got no hits. best regards Sascha Fleischer [Diese Nachricht wurde von freierfall am 08. Yes, I know it's a german speaking forum, but i think it's one of the best inventor forums. I have a hard time typing german. But I can read it without much trouble. I hope it's ok I'm Using inventor 2008 pro. I have no problems with the software/drivers. I'm running the simulation with an extra crankshaft+rod (I turned visibility of those off). But i want to run it with a pneumatic Cilinder. but had no luck trying to get it working. this is how i simulate it now. but the handle should be pushed and pulled by a cilinder. Hello Symen, in the described case i would suggest to transfer your assembly into a simple presentation (You wrote that you dont need the forces)and animate it there. Thank you Matthias for your reply, I would rather do it in dynamic simulation, the 3D contact body's are working very nice for the "ratchet" system. Can you give a cilinder a fixed speed and travel? that would be all that's needed to make the cilinder push and pull. [Diese Nachricht wurde von Symen am 08. Welcome to CAD.DE and AUGCE! Four important links for a trouble-free start: Asking Right - Nettiquette - Search Function - System-Info All informations in German though. Of course you can give a cylinder a fixed speed and travel. You can simulate any function for the motion of the cylinder. Use a "Prismatic Joint" between the cylinder tube and the piston rod. Then right click on this joint and use "Properties" to edit the translative degree of freedom "dof1(T)". With "Edit imposed motion" you can define what movement the piston rod should make at which time. You can use the "Position" option and the input grapher to define the motion in relation to time. You can use any mathematical function and condition for the motion. Maybe a sine wave is a good start for a repeated motion. ------------------ Michael Puschner Autodesk Inventor Certified Expert Scholle und Partner GmbH
