it's not a bug - it's a kind of feature

im Ernst: es ist offenbar ein problem des Filesystems - bei FAT kann nicht sortiert werden.

Question:
Sometimes browsing the MI preview images with Navigator functionality (command: WUI_FILE_NAVIGATOR) shows files not sorted by any criteria (not alphabetically, nor by size ,etc.)
Answer:
OSDD (ME10) does not sort the items in Navigator at all.
Files are listed in order that ME10 receives it from the file system.
If files are browsed in a directory on a NTFS file system, then list is sorted alphabetically.
But if you browse the files on a FAT32 filesystem, then order of files is unpredictible.
It seems that FAT32 gives the files in order they are written on a disk.
So it is not possible to define how files will be sorted in the Navigator dialog.
Note: Unlike Navigator, File/Open/Save dialogs have a
sorting mechanism inherited from the Windows Explorer
settings.
