Leider ist in der aktuelle Me10-Version keine Möglichkeit mehr enthalten, MI-Files zu schreiben die von Me10 Versionen < 8.7 gelesen werden können.

In der Datei:
\Programme\CoCreate\ME10\appendix.htm
Wird dazu eine Lösung präsentiert

SECTION 1 - Compatibility between 08.xx, 09.00 and 10.xx
The following items are not supported by ME10 rev. 10.50:
Old binary files (ME10 03.xx),
Storing of older formats: 2.02, 2.10, 2.11, 2.21, 2.30, 2.31 (STORE_202, STORE_210, STORE_211, STORE_221, STORE_230, STORE_231).
ME10 Format Translations in Batch Mode
Note: Running ME10 for Windows in MI backward translator mode as described below is only possible on Windows NT and Windows 2000.
To convert MI files Rev. 2.70 (format written by ME10 version 10.50) to older MI formats: 2.40 (introduced in ME10 version 08.00), 2.50 (introduced in version 8.70), or 2.60 (introduced in version 09.00), you may start ME10 in MI backward translator mode.
In this mode, ME10 allows you to load MI files of any format (with LOAD) and store them to earlier-version MI files (with STORE_240, STORE_250, STORE_260; see above).
NOTE: If information is present in the loaded MI file that was not available in the target MI format, this information is removed before the drawing is stored. For example, Tangential Dimensions created with the ME10 8.7 or 9.0 DIM_TAN command will be removed and will therefore NOT be visible in earlier MI formats.
Your ME10 directory provides two files for backward translator mode:
startup.bt - special translator startup file.
metrans or metrans.bat - start script for backward translator; the first one is for Unix platforms and the second for Windows platforms.
To start ME10 in MI backward translator mode:
1. Set the environment variable MEDIR to the ME10 directory. For example:
SET MEDIR=C:\Program Files\CoCreate\ME10 (Windows)
export MEDIR=/usr/CoCreate/me10 (Unix)
2. Change your current directory to the directory where the MI files that you want to convert are located. For example:
cd \users\joe\mifiles (Windows)
cd /users/joe/mifiles (Unix)
3. Copy the MI backward translator startup file startup.bt to your current directory under the name startup.m:
copy %MEDIR%\startup.bt startup.m (Windows)
cp $MEDIR/startup.bt startup.m (Unix)
4. Call ME10 with the MI backward translator start script, for example:
%MEDIR%\metrans -v 240 -i test.mi6 -o test.mi5 (Windows)
$MEDIR/metrans -v 240 -i test.mi6 -o test.mi5 (Unix)
The parameters are:
/* target MI version: */
/* ================== */
-v 240 /* MExx Rev. 08.00 reads MI 2.40 files */
-v 250 /* MExx Rev. 08.70 reads MI 2.50 files */
-v 260 /* MExx Rev. 09.00, 10.00, 10.20 read MI 2.60 files */
-i filename /* name of file to be converted */
-o filename /* target filename */
