We strongly recommend NOT installing SMARTEAM V5R12sp6, and instead installing
SMARTEAM V5R12sp7 when it becomes available.

This is because we have encountered a situation in SMARTEAM V5R12sp6 where a
released object may overwrite a previously released object.
This error will be fixed in SMARTEAM V5R12sp7.

If it is critical for you to install SMARTEAM V5R12sp6, then we recommend first creating a back-up of the V5R12 data base. This will allow you to recover lost data in the event of this type of corruption.

If you already have SMARTEAM V5R12sp6 installed, no "release" Lifecycle
operations should be carried out on objects which are in the "Checked in"
state. Rather, objects should first be "Checked out," and only then be
"Released." If you have already encountered the error, please contact your
local IBM PLM Technical Support Center for additional information.
