Zitat:
There is a potentially high impact problem in CATIA V5 that DS has just advised us about. Here are the details of the problem and the solution. Please review this scenario to determine if it will impact your customer(s).PROBLEM:
Boolean operation between Solid Body and Hybrid Body (mixed Boolean
operation) causes visualization problem on Wireframe & Surfaces
features in CATIA V5R14 and higher (Sketch, Points can't be seen)
Problem occurs when user creates a Hybrid Body in V5R14SP2 or higher
in an existing part (ex: created in V5R13 or before) with default R14
settings, then assembles it (same for any Boolean operations)
Only if "enable hybrid design" setting is activated (which is the
CATIA default mode in R14)
CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM:
Bad management on Boolean operations between Hybrid and Solid Body
IMPACT ON CUSTOMER PROCESS:
No design change possible on operand hybrid body
3D Display is not always consistent with In Work Object
Wireframe & Surfaces cannot be seen
Editing of sketches impossible
Note: this is not a data problem; the data is fine. This is strictly
a problem of being able to "see" the items.
RESOLUTION:
Corrected by APAR HD38019
Can no longer create this configuration; Hybrid Body is no longer an
option under Boolean operation
A "Feature Definition Error" warning message is displayed saying
feature is not supported - must click "okay" to proceed
Hybrid Design features are identified in the Product tree
