MDL Application Description:

Dindim.ma allows the user to place MicroStation dimensions in the correct format to comply with DIN standards. The tool allows for rounding and superscript of the decimal portion of the dimension text that can be saved to a V8 Dimension Style. The style can then be used to create the desired dimension. This requires font 182 or any font that supports superscript numbers.

Installation:

Copy dindim.ma to the MicroStation/MDLapps directory.

Replace the delivered font.rsc with the included font.rsc or copy font 182 from this font.rsc file to the working font resource file.

Using dindim:

From Utilities, MDL Applications dialog select dindim or key-in mdl load dindim. Key in dialog dindim to display the dialog box.

Superscripted will allow the last number to be displayed as superscript.

Rounded will round the value according to din standards.

The Extension Line Length will define the length of the extension line by supplying a negative number in the Dimension Settings, Extension Lines, Geometry, Offset value.

These setting can be added to Dimension Styles thus not requiring dindim.ma to be loaded on every machine. The Dimension Style can be used in a .dgnlib or imported to different files without dindim.ma.
