Dear All,
Imagine we have an assembly consist of 5 parts and we have produced for example 5 quantities of each part. Some parts are in acceptable tolerance range and some are out of range. Who knows how we can choose parts for assembling in a way that tolerance stackup of all assemblies is in acceptable range?
for doing this job we want to take advantage of teamcenter visualization mockup software.

The model of each part is built with ideal dimensions - no tolerance.
TcVis alone will not help you with tolerancing or selection.
You would have to provide each single piece with real dimensions.
And 5 parts in a quantity of 5 each will result in 5^5 = 3125 combinations.
Nice try!

However, there is an add-on available named VSA or VA = variation analysis.
This will enable you to optimize your tolerances during design.

Parts "out of range" will still be scrap...
Just think of a repair case: When your products are "individuals" - how can you provide a repair part that will fit?
