Hallo Leute,
ich bin derzeit mit der Auswahl der verschiedenen CAD-Translatoren von CATIA nach SolidWorks und zurück beschäftigt.
So wie es aussieht, kommen zwei Programme in Frage:
- CIMSW-CAT (bi-direktional) von CADCAM-E und
- Catia2Solidworks (bi-direktional) von RadialSoft

Ich habe ein CATIA-Modell mit beiden Programmen nach SolidWorks konvertiert und mein subjektiver Eindruck war, daß der Konverter von RadialSoft etwas schneller und genauer arbeitet und dabei leichter zu bedienen ist.
Im Endeffekt konvertieren aber beide Programme die CATIA-Daten recht gut, soweit man das mit nur einem Modell beurteilen kann...

Nun meine Frage:
Habt Ihr Erfahrungen mit dem einen oder anderen Programm?
Wenn Ja, wo liegen die Vorteile und gibt es besondere Features auf die ich Wert legen sollte?
Wie ist die Qualität von ausgeschriebenen CATIA-Daten aus SolidWorks?
Und zu guter letzt: Warum kostet der Translator von RadialSoft ca.  € 1.000- mehr (von den Wartungskosten ganz zu schweigen) als der von CADCAM-E?

currently i am on the selection of different CAD-Translators from CATIA to SoldiWorks (and back).
It seems, that there are two programms in be a possibility:
- CIMSW-CAT (bi-direktional) from CADCAM-E and
- Catia2Solidworks (bi-direktional) from RadialSoft

I have converted one CATIA-Model with both translators and my subjective impression was, that the converter from RadialSoft seems a little bit faster, accurate and easier to operate.
But in the end both programs doing the convertion of the CATIA-files quite good, as i can judge it after converting just one model.

Here is my question:
Do you habe any expierience in using either of this translators?
If yes, where are the benefits of each program and wich features are important?
How accurate is the quality of the CATIA-files generated from SolidWorks?
And at least: why does the translator from Radialsoft is as € 1.000- more expensive (also the maintanance) as the one from CADCAM-E?
