A new patch for Pro/MECHANICA 2001 is now available. The new patch is known as maintainence release 2003070. This patch addresses the issues reported in TAN 113489, TAN 120318, TAN 120686, TAN 110885 and TAN 116059. The patch can be downloaded from:

This patch should be applied to datecode 2001430 of Pro/MECHANICA 2001. Pro/ENGINEER Release 2001 datecode 2003010 or higher should be run with this version of Pro/MECHANICA. The patch files are named after the architecture supported by each file. For instance Windows 2000 and Windows NT users should download i486_nt.zip, while SGI users should download sgi_mips4.tar.gz. Once the patch has been downloaded, the following steps should be followed:

Windows:

1.Open the patch file in WinZip and select #Extract. In the extraction dialogue window, enter the Pro/MECHANICA load point as the extraction directory. This is necessary so that the zip extracts the files to the correct directories.

2. When running an analysis, the version of Pro/MECHANICA should be reported as 23.3(315) in the header of the summary file.

Unix:

1. Copy the file to the Pro/MECHANICA load point.

2. Unzip the file using the gunzip command: gunzip <filename>

3. After step 2, the file extension will be *.tar instead of *.tar.gz. Extract the files from the tar archive using the command: tar -xvf <filename>

4. When running an analysis, the version of Pro/MECHANICA should be reported as 23.3(315) in the header of the summary file.
