Aktueller Anlass:
Description
-----------------
An issue with UCS constraints was recently discovered that could affect the analysis results received from Pro/MECHANICA. This problem exists in version 2000i2 and later. It only affects constraints defined on user-defined cylindrical and spherical coordinate systems. User-defined cartesian coordinate systems are working properly. Currently, the analysis technology group is still investigating the cause of this issue.
Alternate Technique
-----------------
Until a resolution is reached, the user is advised to run all Pro/MECHANICA analyses that have curvilinear UCS with the following environment variable set:
setenv MECH_CONSTRAINTS 0 (on Unix)
set MECH_CONSTRAINTS=0 (on NT)
This will activate the pre-2000i2 method of handling UCS constraints. The only limitation with this option is that user-prescribed UCS displacements are not supported and any attempt to run such an analysis will result in a fatal error in the engine run.
Resolution
-----------------
This issue will be resolved in a later release of Pro/MECHANICA.
Gruß aus Darmstadt
