Thanks Sascha
I did send a letter to R+Z and this is their answer.
the INVENTOR isn't a sustainable base for us. INVENTOR is designed for
mechanical engineering and not for steel constructions. Therefore we take
over all rights of LOGOCAD TRIGA (ex. 1.1.2006) for a future oriented
development of our application "Industriebau" (see more details at www.rz-ing.de in german).
Our quintessence is furthermore the active 2D detail drawing for steel- and
facade engineering and the whole part list management (SL-Desktop system).
Additonally we develop further the 3D functionality, for example:
-detection of dead even parts
-improvements in the 3D->2D drawing functionality
-New tools to manage the 3D model and drawings belong to (drawing- and
partmanager).
-visualization of screws ...
Our plan ist not to copy the BOCAD functionality as a complete 3D-model
based system.
We think the engineer must decide between 2D or 3D working.
Do you want 3D functionality like BOCAD or see you advantages of our 2D/3D
philosophy ?
As a costumer of EPLAN you can migrate your LOGOCAD licence to INVENTOR or
you can transfer the licences and maintenances to R+Z. Therefore you can
send the enclosed letter back to EPLAN. As you know, EPLAN concludes the
devolopment of LOGOCAD TRIGA.
We will release in second Q. 2006 a new version of "industriebau" ( =
complete version including steel an facade engineering).
The SL-Desktop system will be enhanced at a new module for editing part
lists.
I don't know if its an option for me to go futher with R+Z,all other drawing programs have much more functionality in auto routines.
I wish he could be more specific about"improvements in the 3D->2D drawing functionality" i think I will call him tomorrow.
Johnny
