Hierbei sei noch mal deutlich erwähnt:
die Free-Lizenz sollte sowieso nicht mehr gültig sein, hier geht es aber um Professional oder höher!
@Uwe
Deinstall,
die Draftsight Ordner löschen(od. umbenennen) -besser noch Dassault-Ordner/falls du keine anderen Produkte hast.
C:\Program Files\
C:\ProgramData\
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming

Thank you for contacting the DraftSight Technical Support Team.
Concerning the points raised:
- DraftSight versions/products are mutually exclusive, meaning that you can only run one version or product in one computer at a given time. Indeed, as you mention, a version update/upgrade will overwrite the existing installation in the computer.
- The error message received, although encountered when installing DraftSight, it refers to o System/OS error.
- Saying this, please see the troubleshooting steps below:
- Recently, we have received reports of performance issues triggered by a Windows Update, that were identified/linked to a specific Windows component either missing or corrupted (Windows VS 2015 C++ redistributables), therefore, verify if this is the case and consider the reinstall of this particular version (https://www.microsoft.com/en-GB/download/details.aspx?id=48145).
1. Login as administrator (Very Important!)
2. Uninstall DraftSight.
3. Navigate to the folder DraftSight in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\DraftSight
4. Delete/Rename the folder DraftSight.(This will return DraftSight to a "default" state, as if it was installed for the first time in the computer. If you have customizations that you would like to recover later, just rename the folder).
5.Navigate to folder Dassault Systemes in the installation directory (generally in C:\Program Files)
6. Delete the folder Dassault Systemes
7.Navigate to folder DraftSight under C:\ProgramData\Dassault Systemes\DraftSight and delete the folder DraftSight
(The ProgramData folder may be a hidden folder. Either you can enable to show hidden folders from Folder options or you can directly type c:\Programdata on to address bar and press enter to access this folder.)
8. Run the Microsoft Fixit Tool (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed), and retest the installation.
9. Run the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) (https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system).
10. Make sure that all Device drivers are up to date (Control Panel>Device Manager)
11. Reboot the computer.
- 12. Verify that your OS is updated. (In Windows Control Panel> Updates), check the Windows Historic, and verify if there are any pending/failed updates. Repeat the download/install whenever appropriate.
13. Verify if the Windows Modules Installer service is activated:
Go to Task Manager -> Services.
In the bottom click on Open Services button.
Find Windows Modules Installer Worker in the list, right click on it and go to its Properties.
14. Verify/reinstall Visual C++ Redistributables. Refer to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads for the latest supported versions.Login as administrator (Very Important!)
15. Reinstall DraftSight, and retest the issue/behaviour.
