Hello Eplan community.

I'm looking for a way to edit "EPLAN.PartRef.UserSupplementaryField" with scripting.
Every part reference line can have this field filled in with information (pre-defined or free entry text).

When I export bill of materials, this information is exported and gives aditional information about the parts that need to be ordered.

The pictures i added are a simple example, it contains part reference for 1 component that consists of 2 parts: both parts can have a different "EPLAN.PartRef.UserSupplementaryField".

I already have a way to read this value with scripting, now i'm looking for a way to write data to those fields, individualy and in bulk.

hello,

try to export the part via scripting in a xml file (maybe that is possible), then you can edit the file and then import it again.
i don't think that you can edit the values of the different fields of the article directly via script

Hi cad_hans, I think, it's a part "reference" field, not a field from the article in the database; exporting the parts data from the database in my opinion will not resolve this issue?!
