Hi,

I created an nice coffee mug in Autodesk Alias as you can see on the attachment. Now I want to place a certain pattern on the surface. The pattern displays figures and shall surroung the mug.

To place the pattern right sized I would like to get an 2D template which is exactly the measurements of the mug.  As attachment you can see a sketch of the desired template.

My Question: How can I get the surface mug form as 2D patch pane?

Imagine I cut to the surface as a thin plane an place it on the ground.

How can I do this?

As way back I want to place the pattern exactly on the mug. To do that I want to buckle the pattern to fit exactly on the mug.

Please help me!

I am also used in Catia V5.
