Offenbar hat man jetzt die Version 8 von AD in den USA angekündigt.

Folgende Fragen:
- was ist bei den Betatests von AD Version 8 herausgekommen?
- wann wird die neue Version für die User in der Europa verfügbar sein?
- gibt es ein neues oder zusätzliches Handbuch?

Hallo zusammen,

genau diese Fragen interessieren mich auch sehr.
Mich interessieren aber noch merh die Zeichnungs-
funktionen. So z.B., ob es nun möglich ist dass
ein Gewinde richtig in der Zeichnungsableitung
dargestellt wird. Diesbezüglich findet man in den
Ankündigungen keine weiteren Infos.
Es wäre schön wenn es seitens Alibre hierzu bald
Antorten gäbe.

You will receive a notice with instructions on how to update your Alibre Design installation. At that time you may also download the upgrade (approximately 30MB). Or, you may order the upgrade on CD now. You just pay for shipping and handling.

Here are a few of the improvements you can expect with Alibre Design 8.0:

Associative Design Booleans: supports join, subtract and intersect commands, and the ability to use multiple parts and assemblies as "tools" -- ideal for creating mold cavities.
3D Sketch: sketch free-form 3D curves for use in a variety of modeling operations, including creating and routing piping or cables, or advanced sweep and loft.
Enhanced Sweep and Loft Operations: supports multiple sweep paths or loft guide curves so you can create more complex sculpted shapes for consumer products and conceptual design.
Free-form Surfaces from applications such as Rhino can be imported and used to trim solid models or thickened into a solid for further editing.
2D Drawing enhancements include support for images in drawing templates, flexible handling of line styles and color definitions, and improved dimensions
Application Programming Interface: customize Alibre Design to automate repetitive tasks and improve integration with add-on applications like ALGOR DesignCheck, FEA software for engineering analysis included with Alibre Design Professional.
User interface and productivity enhancements include:
Improved interaction with 2D sketches & sketch planes
New polygon creation tool
Enhanced assembly constraints allowing grouping by component
Simplified multiple selection
Display reference planes with shading for better visibility

Habe heute auch diese Infos bekommen. Trotzdem vielen Dank für die Bemühung.
Bei den vielen interessanten Neuerungen in der Version 8 denke ich, dass zumindest eine Handbuchergänzung bereitgestellt wird.
Erwarte mit Spannung die nächste Woche.
