Tut mir Leid, ab hier geht es auf Englisch weiter:
I want to integrate an E3 project in another existing E3 project. The 2 projects have device designators which can be overlapping. This can easily be solved by giving each project a different higher level assignment name to all devices making them still unique within the integrated project.

The problem however are the wire-numbers which can be overlapping between the 2 E3 projects. Unfortunately wires can not be assigned a higher level assignment.
Any suggestion how they can still be made unique in the integrated project (without renumbering!)?

Renumbering is not possible due to the fact that the cable harnesses already exist for both projects with the wire-numbers printed on the wires...

At my former employer this would not have been a problem, since there I had defined all wires as single-core cables in the E3 library making it possible to add a higher-level assignment

Hi Paul,
what about the idea to move the wires into a dynamic cable?
Insert -> Cable (0 cores) move the wires to the cable

If you just need a grouping you can also add a bundle over the wires.

Please note that you may require a E3.cable license for this.

The dynamic cable suggestion works, but unfortunately not for wires that are variants.
But the bundle suggestion luckily works including the variant wires.
