this is most likely a beginner's question, but our deadline is the day after tomorrow so we urgently need your help.
I hope you can see the attached pictures. We've got a sheet metal plate with a hole we need to widen by collaring. So the punch goes down and presses the plate down, so that the desired new diameter is reached. But our simulation fails because the mesh is too coarse in the forming area. We manage to get a small mesh towards the middle, but not in the cross section. I think that this can be achieved with a partitioning, but after several tutorials I don't know how to create a separate partition that is only 3 or 4 millimeters wide from the edge of the hole. I can only get one partition on the surface.
It is not possible to meshes the whole component finer because of the computing power.
I hope you can help us. That would be very nice. If you need anything else for the answer, let me know.
