Hallo Thomas,
hiert der Auszug aus der Doku:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary of Changes for Versions 4.6.7 to 4.6.8
This edition of the book incorporates changes made in Versions 4.6.7 through 4.6.8 of License Use Management Runtime, which were documented in the README.ARK files for those versions.
This section summarizes the changes made to this book to reflect new and changed function and support.
Additional operating systems supported
LUM Runtime supports the additional operating systems:
* AIX Version 5.3.0 for 32-bit and 64-bit
* Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 for Intel(R) x86 platforms
* SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 8 for Intel x86 platforms
* SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9 for Intel x86 platforms
The actual availability of License Use Management Version 4.6.8 for Linux, and also the list of supported Linux platforms may be subject to change. You should check on the License Use Management Web site for more information:

Operating systems no longer supported
The following operating systems are no longer supported:

* Solaris 2.6
* Linux Caldera 3.1.1
* Linux Turbolinux 7.0
* Red Hat Linux 7.1

* Red Hat Linux 7.3
* Red Hat Linux 8.0
* SUSE LINUX 7.3
* Windows Millennium Edition
* Windows Server 2003 64-bit
Java Client Support no longer supported
Java Client Support has been replaced by Native Java APIs.
Monitoring and tuning your environment
New functionality has been added for checking the server workload. The functionality gives an indication of the workload on the current license server. You can set a workload threshold and trace levels without the need to stop services.
The options are available from both the GUI and the CLI.
Firewall support
License Use Management now supports network configurations with firewalls. Clients and servers can be on opposite sides of the firewall.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
*****
You can try to customize the timeout through an environment variable (I4TIMESERV=number of seconds) thus allowing the license server to run even in case of a slow start-up. The default for I4TIMESERV is 30 sec, so you can start with 60 sec and then increase it if it si not enough.
