I have a doubt regarding catutils in 3d experience but couldnot find a related forum if possible can anybody guide to resolving issue or redirect where i can post this!

Hello I am working on 3d experience (CAtia V6) and want to run a CATUTIL- "Drawing Batch" from command line, but its not getting executed and returns object not found. I used the same file which was created when i run the batch manually through the UI.

I used the following:

catutil -Name "Drawing Batch" C:\temp\BatchParameters_10.47.18.xml

but when i use different batch it runs fine:

catutil -Name PLMThumbnailBuilder C:\temp\PLMThumbnailBuilder_19-02-2019.xml

The batch name has space in between the words how can i handle it would that be the issue?

Hi

In the manual (careful its from V5) I can't find "Drawing Batch".
Maybe you need the UpdateBatch or PLMBatchDrawingUpdate. Have you checked the V6 manual?

I do not find anything similar to this manual for catia v6  and the automation help document for 3d experience does not mention anything about the catutility.

This is the user manual. By pressing F1 in Catia it should open.
Maybe ask your cad admin for the documentation.

Thanks i saw the help manual, which also says the same:

Run the following command:CATUTIL -Name batch_name xml_file

where batch_name is the name of the batch you want to run and xml_file is the path and name of the XML file.

For instance:

CATUTIL -Name DownwardCompatibility e:\users\my_parameters.xml

And does the "Drawing Batch" there exist in the list?

Yes, now it runs fine with another xml file. I think it should have been issue with the file. Sorry and thanks!
