I'm not sure why i cant save some files under win7? I have the Same problem with other applications too! Never had that problem when i was using Vista. Its entirely a windows 7 issue for me! Guess its the ownership problem as always
Sorry but i cant get this to work! Is there any way to find out which cat settings file the viewport config contains Parallel and Perspective mode? i cant figure out why it always starts with Perspective.I need to force it somehow

Hello I guess the file "FrameConfig.CATSettings" contains this setting. Do you have read write permission on the usersettings folder? When were this files (the newest one) modified last? (normally some of these where updated on each start/stop of catia)

Yes i have that.i have set the folder to full access if you know what i mean? Good to know! Is it any way to read the cat settings files in any text editor/Programming editor without all the goofy letters?
Anyway i have notice one thing. When i start a new part/Product it has Parallel view as default now so i think this is fixed, at least half the problem! When i open an older file its always in perspective view. And it doesn't matter if i save it with Parallel ! its still perspective when i open it next time!
Well it works now with new files so im happy with that! Thanks a lot both of you guys! Love this forum and some day when i learned to speak German i might contribute with something
