was macht diese Datei CATDMUUtilityMP.exe? Wir haben ein Produkt offen und machen nichts am Prokukt, die Speicherauslastung bei "CATDMUUtilityMP.exe" ist aber bei 50% woher kommt das?

Closed as program error.

Error description

DMUNav : Annoying windows on multiprocessor
CGR creation.
During the computation of CGR files with multiple
processors, several CATDMUUtilityMP.exe
processes are launched. Each process opens a
message window on top of the screen that takes
the focus. The user is unable to do any other work
with the PC because these message windows keep
jumping in front of all other application windows.
Scenario:
1. Start DMU Navigator.
2. In Tools + Options adjust the settings for the
multiprocessor CGR computation:
- Infrastructure/Product Structure/Product
Visualization:
Visualization mode type = Multi process
visualization with local cache
- Digital Mockup/Multiprocess settings:
Maximum son processes = 2 (or higher)
Restart DMU Navigator if necessary.
3. Open the provided CATProduct. This Product
contains 12 CATIA V4 Models. For each of
these models a separate CATDMUUtilityMP.exe-
process will be launched to compute the CGR file.
Result:
-> Each CATDMUUtility will open a pop-up window
in front of all other application windows. This is
very annoying if the user wants to work
with another application while DMU Navigator
computes the CGR files in the background.
Expected behaviour:
- Open these message windows minimized and
don't let them get the focus.
or:
- Establish an environment variable to control
whether these message windows will open
minimized or normal.
or best:
- All information from the CATDMUUtilityMP.exe-
process must be written to CNEXTOUTPUT.

Problem conclusion

THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
5 RELEASE 15 GA level.
Incident Diagnosis
For each CATDMUUtility son process which was
launched on windows, a new command window
appeared.
Correction Explanation
Addition of a new parameter to avoid the creation
of a new window.

Hallo,

erstmal danke. Bei mir kommt zwar kein Fenster hoch (haben auch R16), aber die Kiste hängt sich beim CGR Erstellen auf.
Multiprozessor ist eingeschalten.

An was könnte das liegen?

Hi,

ist nur eine Vermutung:
Das Arbeiten mit dem Cache erfordert ein konzequentes "neu aus" beim erstellen von V5 Neuteilen oder kopieren von bestehenden Catia V5 Teilen. Gleiche UUID's mag der Cache nicht.

Eine mögliche Lösung wäre den Cache abzuschalten. Oder auf V5 Teile nachträglich einen Neu aus anzuwenden.

Als erstes würde ich aber den Cache mal von Hand löschen. Und mal sehen wie Catia dann reagiert.

Die Teile sind alle mit "neu aus" erstellt.
Den Cache zu löschen wäre schlecht, wir haben fast ein ganzes Auto drin.

Gibt´s sonst noch ne Lösung?

@ catz,

wenn ich das Verzichnis umbenenne, dann findet ja Catia die CGR´s nicht mehr und muß sie auch neu erzeugen, oder?
