Due to the termination of DS' contract for the proprietary third-party code
libraries, the MultiCAx I and U Plug-in products have been replaced by the
MultiCAx ID and UD Plug-ins.  Legally, after June 14 we cannot ship any of
the third-party code for the I and U Plug-ins in the existing V5 Service
Packs.

V5R9 Service Pack 8 and V5R10 Service Pack 4 are the last Service Packs
that contain fixes for the MultiCAx I and U Plug-in Products.  Therefore,
these and all prior Service Packs for the CATIA, ENOVIA and SMARTEAM
Version 5 products can no longer be distributed after June 14, 2003.  If
your customers anticipate needing any of these specific Service Pack levels
in the future, be sure to place an order for the required Service Pack
prior to June 1:

  Version 5 Release 1 through Release 8:  no Service Packs will be
  available

  Version 5 Release 9:  Service Packs 1 through 8 will no longer be
  available (Service Pack 9 and above will be available)

  Version 5 Release 10:  Service Packs 1 through 4 will no longer be
  available (Service Pack 5 and above will be available)

Note:  All Service Packs are cumulative, so the subsequent Service Packs
for V5R9 and V5R10 will contain all the prior fixes for all products and
functions except the I and U Plug-ins.  All customers using the I and U
Plug-ins are urged to order these final Service Packs before June 1, 2003.
The last date orders for these service packs will be accepted is June 1,
2003; fixes for the MultiCAx I and U Plug-in products will no longer be
available after that date.

To order these specific Service Packs, contact the IBM Technical Support
Center or go to the PLM Technical Support web site: http://techsupport.services.ibm.com/engineering/support

and select "Fixes, tools" on the left side, then "Order fixes on physical
media" and "Order refreshes or Service Packs".  Follow the instructions for
specifically ordering "Older Refreshes and Service Packs".  Review the
naming conventions to insure you are ordering the correct PTF for your
operating system and level."
