MSC.SuperForge 2005 was developed and tested on the following Windows hardware and software:

Operating System Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 6a

Other Ethernet card and Microsoft TCP/IP Service
Tested Systems
MSC performed test installations of MSC.SuperForge 2005 on the following Intel-based Windows NT computer systems:
· Dell Dimension
· Dell Latitude (laptop)
MSC.SuperForge should run on any Intel-based PC that is compatible with Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
Note: MSC.SuperForge does not support Windows NT/2000/XP running on DEC Alpha-based workstations.
Disk Space and Memory Requirements
The following overview provides RAM, swap and disk space guidelines for small, medium, and large simulation models. MSC.SuperForge may actually run with fewer resources than shown, but we recommend these minimums for practical use of MSC.SuperForge.
Small Models 256MB Medium Models 512MB Large Models 1GB
Random Access Memory (RAM) per simulation
Scratch Disk Space (%TEMP%) 50 MB 100 MB 200 MB
The amount of disk space required for the installation is about 150 MB. Analysis result storage space is dependent on the amount of results data a user requests to be saved. For extremely large problems where many variables and time steps are saved, up to 4 GB of storage space may be required. For small problems, 100 MB may be sufficient.
