hi,
I try to install SmarTeam editor V5R14 (standalone) to a PC (Pentium(R) 4 CPU, 2.40GHz, 0.99GB RAM) with MS WinXP, SP2. I also installed Smarteam S.P 05, The error message is shown as below;

Error No: 00256
Illegal Login 'joe'. Access has been denied. Reason: An error occured while creating a user session. Reason: The specified database replication Id is not authorized for authentication.
----------------------------------------------------------------
I closed its firewall and stopped some services, and checked from the authentication manager, but I couldn't solve the problem.
I'll be appreciated, if you try to solve my problem.

Hi,
I got the problems two weeks ago after using the data model designer.
My solution was to reset the databases in the SMARTEAM Authentication Manager. After that I could add the databases in the connection manager again and everything Žs going fine.

before I sent my first messagge, I'd resetted dbs from authentication manager, it didn't solve the problem.

Hi,

try the dbregistration and create a new regsitration for it. Normally this will solve the problem.

The language for ST (the user account i created for vault) was Turkish, i changed to English from Regional Options and it is done!!!
