I do some tests to speed up my calculations. Here I have a pipe model and want to bend it with 1000 Nm around the X-axis. The model is reduced to a 45° part for the simulation. This means the bending will be reduced by 1000 Nm / (360° / 45°) = 125 Nm. For the full model I calculated a stress of 13 MPa. A calculation by hand confirmes this result. First I tried to use a frictional contact on the sides of the model. This contact makes it so deformable, that no bending is happening. A remote displacement with allowed rotation around the X-axis gives stress over 100 MPa. That is also wrong. In both cases I understand what is happening and why the results are not the ones I'm looking for. Is there a way to define boundary conditions to get the right results? Your problem is that in a symmetrical model, the loads are taken symmetrically! In this case, you have to expect the full model. Simplifications that you can do to save computing time are: - Surface model - Beam model Eine Antwort auf diesen Beitrag verfassen (mit Zitat/Zitat des Beitrags) IP |
