Hello All,

I am analysing a contact problem using Ansys wherein a D profile geometry is compressed against a cylinder. The issue is I am not able to understand why there are reaction forces in the Y direction of the cylinder even though it is fixed and the displacement is applied only in the X direction. Could anyone of you please help me to solve this issue. I would be very grateful. Please help me on this . The input file is attached for your reference.

Would be much easier to help you, if you upload a pic with geom and BCs. Also please provide information on approx. amplitude of applied loads and reaction forces in each direction.
