Hello Friends,
I am using ANSYS 11, classic. I am doing Transient analysis and trying to simulate an accelerometer on a 3D flexible structure (just like i fixed an accelerometer on a surface of the structure). Now ofcourse I can read the acceleration data vs time for each node after the analysis. But this data are in nodal coordinate system, which means in the direction of active coordinate system (default global). So irrespective of the deformation of the structure, the acceleration is pointing in the same direction, But as I want to simulate accelerometer, accelerometer will point at different direction during the motion, due to nodal rotation(and so surface rotation). So I want my acceleration, that point normal to the surface. And for that i need to define a coordinate system, which moves (rotate and translate) during the motion. Can anyone help me to give a hint to create such moving coordinate system, where I can read my acceleration? Can be the commands 'LOCAl' or 'CLOCAL' appropriate?? Thanks for your reply.
