Unigraphics Installation under W2K ================================== In order to install UG V15 a registry location has to be modified. To do this create the following file with the contents as specified below: * Create a file called "UgRegChange.reg". The extension ".reg" is very important. Line Number Content =========== ======= 1 REGEDIT4 2 3 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion] 4 "CurrentVersion"="4.0" 5 NOTE: Lines 2 and 5 are blank. Exit the editor. * Now execute the file. This will open a window titled: "Registry Editor" asking the question similar to: "Are you sure you want to add the information in D:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\Desktop\UGREGC~1.REG to the registry? NOTE: The path to the UGREGC~1.REC file may be vary. enter: "YES" This will create new window confirming your action, Click "OK" This will change a registry location that has a "5" in it to a "4" which indicates that this is, temporarily, Windows NT V4.0. DO NOT REBOOT. * INSTALL Unigraphics V15.0 THEN REBOOT. When you restart the system the content of this registry location will revert back to a "5" which indicates that the system is a Windows NT V5.0 which is Windows 2000. * Translators and Docs will install without the "UgRegChange.reg" execution. * If UG V15 is reconfigured later on, you will have to execute the file "UgRegChange.reg" before reconfiguring Unigraphics V15.
