1.     Introduction

This Heidi 3D driver for AutoCAD2004 will be used instead of Autodesk wopengl8.hdi driver. 


NVIDIA(R) Heidi 3D driver can be used with any of these Autodesk(R) applications:

*  AutoCAD(R) 2004

*  Architectural Desktop(R) 2004

*  Mechanical Desktop 2004

The NVIDIA POWERdraft installation software consists of:

README.TXT    	-> this file that you are reading
nvGL8.hdi     	-> NVIDIA Heidi 3D driver
nvGL8en.dll	-> file needed by NVIDIA Heidi 3D driver

2.2	System Requirements (overview)


Before you install and use this driver, you must have the
following:

* Windows(R) NT 4.0 or Windows XP/2000 operating system

* A graphics card based on the NVIDIA Quadro(tm), Quadro2,
	Quadro4 or QuadroFX GPU (graphics processing unit)

* NVIDIA Windows XP/2000 Display Driver or
	NVIDIA Windows NT 4.0 Display Driver

* AutoCAD2004 already installed

2.3	Installing NVIDIA Heidi 3D driver

Copy the files nvGL8.hdi and nvGL8en.dll to [AutoCAD directory]\drv\

Start AutoCAD2004

Go to -Tools -Options -System and in the 'Current 3D Graphics Display' area choose 'Properties...' 

In the Acceleration area use Browse... to select nvGL8.hdi and apply.
