I just wanted to take a second to thanks you all for your friendship, support and knowledge. I have been offered and have accepted the Engineering & Manufacturing Manager job at Sidel (www.sidel.com) (aka GEBO/Aidlin Automation where I used to work) here in Bradenton, FL. I start in 2 weeks.
What is interesting is that the company now has a mix of SWX and Inventor. I introduced IV there at R1 to the custom automation group. They still use Inventor today in one division but SWX in the other (as mandated by the parent company).
So it should be interesting to see how the two can co-exist. IMO we have the best of both worlds. If I can get people cross-trained then we have even more to offer potential customers.
So....
This means I probably won't be around the IV groups as much as I used to be (after these 2 weeks). I'm certainly going to keep my site running but I won't be pushing a space ball near as much.
As such, my day-to-day interaction with Inventor will become quite a bit less than I have had in the past 4 years while my "grand scheme" plans for the software will be sure to increase. While I certainly won't be leaving the community 100%, for at least the first few months you probably won't hear a whole lot from me during work hours (after hours I might be able to pop in a bit). I'll also be asking someone to take over the FAQ posting for me.
If you need to get a hold of me feel free to email or post over at my forum http://www.sdotson.com/forums (which I will keep running).
Thanks again for all the support and friendship you've all given these last four years. With that I'll say "see you soon" instead of goodbye. Beside you know I won't be able to stay away for too long. <g>
